BCRC is working with the Pownal Planning Commission and the Parks & Recreation Committee on a Pownal Center Village improvement project. BCRC will help the town identify and prioritize physical improvements to enhance the village center with an emphasis on Center Street Park. 

Goals of the Project: 
  1. Maximize the potential for a Town Green
  2. Foster community space for people to gather, conduct business, and recreate
  3. Facilitate development in the area

public engagement

The public outreach phase of the project has concluded. BCRC presented a summary of public outreach efforts and findings  to the planning commission on October 1, 2024. A public presentation of recommendations and findings took place on November 19, 2024.
