Regional Planner - Emergency Management Program Manager
The Bennington County Regional Commission (BCRC) seeks a Regional Planner. Responsibilities and time commitments are approximately evenly distributed between work on special planning projects and overseeing the region’s emergency management program.
Primary job responsibilities include working with local officials and other BCRC staff to develop comprehensive plans, land use regulations, conduct special planning studies, apply for and manage various grant funded projects, and other related tasks.
Work in support of the emergency management program includes managing and implementing the annual Emergency Management Planning Grant and responsibility for all aspects of the grant program: application, reporting, budgeting, task monitoring, timeline management, preparation of municipal hazard mitigation and local emergency management plans, and implementation of related tasks and projects.
