Bennington County Career Month Events
April 6th: College Fair at Mount Anthony Union High School gym from 11:00 am - 12:30 pm.
The event is open to all area students and parents. Representatives from over 75 colleges will be available to share information.
April 10th: Northshire Career Fair at Burr & Burton Academy from 11:00am - 2:30 pm.
Local Employers! Please join us for the Northshire Career Expo at Burr & Burton Academy on Monday, April 10 from 11 - 2:30. From 11-1:30, be prepared to share the outlook of local career options with 9-11 graders who are in the exploratory phase. From 1:30-2:30, feel free to stay for the job fair portion of the event if you have positions to fill at your company.
April 10-14th: Career Week at Molly Stark Elementary School.
During the week of April 10th, learners in grades pre-k – 5th will gather throughout the day in the Molly Stark Library to hear career presentations from local professionals.
April 11th: CSI: Career Scene Investigators
Southwest Tech and 5th grade students from Bennington Elementary are teaming up April 11 for a pilot program "CSI: Career Scene Investigators"! Students will be on SWT campus to explore a wide range of careers that interest them.
April 12th: CCV Open House and Information Night at 324 Main Street at 5:00 pm
Visit CCV-Bennington to learn more about CCV's degrees, certificate programs, and pathways to employment. A financial aid counselor will also be available to share information about financial aid, scholarships, and other grant opportunities. RSVP recommended but walk-ins are welcome. 802-447-2361
April 19th: Tutorial Center Sneak Peak from 4:00pm - 6:30pm
On Wednesday, April 19 from 4:00 – 6:30 pm the community is invited to a sneak peak of The Tutorial Center's new space at 451 Main Street. Architectural renderings and information on TTC programs will be available. Parking available in lot behind building on Union Street. For more information, call 802 447-0111.
April 24th: Earn LNA Certification at Southwest Tech
Southwest Tech’s spring LNA (Licensed Nursing Assistant) class begins on Monday, April 24. Register by April 10, financial aid available. For more information, please contact Rob Bahny at [email protected].
April 24th - June 2nd: Weatherization Job Training in Bennington
ReSOURCE, the Vermont non-profit in Burlington, Barre and Hyde Park, is bringing its 6-week, hands-on Weatherization 101 training to Bennington this spring! This six-week training, starting April 24, 2023 in Bennington, provides:

April 24-28th: Career Week at Bennington Elementary School
During the week of April 24, Bennington Elementary will host visiting speakers to present about their careers.
April 25th: Youth Robotics Demonstration from 6:30 - 8:30 pm
Join local youth on April 25 from 6:30-8:30 at the MAUMS Makerspace for a Robotics open house featuring Lego robotics and the local First Tech Challenge Team #18650 The Cookie Clickers and Chip (the robot).
April 26th: SW Tech Program Fair and Community Open House from 11:35 - 1:05pm
In celebration of April Career Month, Southwest Tech invites all 9th grade students, their parents, any interested students who have never toured campus, and the community to see what SWT offers. Southwest Tech's "Program Fair/Community Open House" will be held on Thursday, April 26th from 11:35-1:05 at Southwest Tech and will include demonstrations, hands-on activities, the chance to see all 14 programs with their labs and the chance to win some great prizes! April 26th: MAUMS Career Fair from 8:00 - 10:00am
Mount Anthony Union Middle School will host their annual career fair on Wednesday, April 26 from 8-10 am in the gymnasium at MAUMS. All students in grades 6-8 will have the opportunity to learn about careers in the Bennington community and reflect on the experience in their Personalized Learning Plan (PLP). In addition to the in-person fair, students will have the opportunity to explore additional careers available in the state of Vermont and beyond through the MAUMS virtual career fair.
April 28th: Financial Reality Fair from 8:30 - 12:30pm
Area high school students explore the connects between education and careers and have an opportunity to examine the financial implications of their choices. This interactive event will be held on Friday, April 28 at MAUHS from 8:30 am – 12:30 pm. Open to all area juniors and seniors in Bennington Co. All participants will receive a copy of the Promising Pathways booklet that outlines pathways to high paying careers in Vermont.
