Health Planning Primer Launched by Bennington County Regional Prevention Partnership (RPP)

The Bennington County Regional Prevention Partnership (RPP) has published a community planning primer for promoting healthy communities through substance misuse prevention. The primer provides an overview of substance misuse issues and data as well as steps municipalities can take to prevent misuse through their municipal plan language and development regulations. The BCRC is a member of the Bennington County RPP, whose mission is to pursue a public health planning process to reduce and prevent underage and binge drinking, prescription drug misuse, and marijuana misuse at the regional level.
In 2020, the Health Planning Primer was updated with information about commercial cannabis legislation affecting all of Vermont, as well as additional information about vaping and about equity in health planning. View the Health Planning Primer below:
