Bennington LUDR - Integration of Form-Based-Design Standards in Town Center
Draft regulations and presentation
Updated February 4, 2021
See below proposed form-based-design revisions and an overview presentation on proposed revisions to the Town of Bennington's Land Use and Development Regulations (LUDR). Updates are limited to the Town Center area of the town. Form-based standards emphasize form regulation over use regulation. This approach aims to lower barriers to new development while encouraging building forms that enhance walkability and safety, accommodate mixed uses, and adapt well to changing uses over time. Proposed revisions create three new Form-Based-Design Areas in the Town Center and consolidate regulated land use categories and some existing zoning districts. See presentation and draft regulations to learn more.
