- New Faces, New Opportunities Career Profiles – Bennington Banner columns in the Business Section highlighting area professionals new to our community
- New Faces, New Opportunities Roundtable – CAT-TV will host a discussion with area professionals profiled for this series.
Monday, March 24
- Bennington Career Month Proclamation at the Select Board meeting
Tuesday, March 25
- Arlington Arts Day – Pre-K through 12th grade Art show, including wood working, music performances, and food. Free to the public from 5:00 – 7:00 p.m. at Fisher Elementary and Martha Canfield Library.
Thursday, April 3
- Student Annual Art Show – Art show highlighting work from Bennington area students pre-K through 12th grade. The Annual Student Art Show celebrates the continuing tradition of art education in the region. On display through May 18 at the Bennington Museum.
Thursday, April 10
- MAUHS College Fair – Representatives from over 75 colleges will be available to talk with area high school students. 11:00 a.m. – 12:30 p.m. in the MAUHS gym.
- Burr and Burton Academy’s 3rd Annual Career Expo and Job Fair – Area professionals talk to approximately 500 young adults about possible future goals, and ways to explore those options now. The Career Expo is one tool to help guide students toward various high school courses, potential internships, and part-time jobs. Restricted to high school-aged students, 9:30 – 11:30 a.m.
Friday, April 11
- Molly Stark Career Carnival – Half day hands-on event for k- 5 grades to help students make real world connections with math, reading, and writing. The event features 25 parent and community member as presenters representing careers including electrician, auto mechanic, trash hauler, horse trainer, musician, car salesman, and logger. 12:00 -2:30 p.m., open to the Molly Stark community of learners.
Thursday, April 24
- Business Showcase and Annual Open House – This year’s Open House will feature the businesses located at 210 Main Street including Church Insurance, Bennington County Regional Commission, Simmons Financial Services, ADECCO, and Vermont Tech’s Nursing Program. Everyone is welcome! Thursday, April 24 from 4:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m.
Monday, April 28
- Bennington Workforce and Economic Update – The Vermont Department of Labor, Bennington County Regional Commission, Southwestern Vermont Chamber of Commerce, Town of Bennington Community Development Office and Better Bennington Corporation will share economic and workforce information at the Bennington Select Board meeting Join in person or watch on CAT-TV. The Select Board meetings begin at 6:00 p.m., 3rd Floor of the Bennington Fire Facility.
Wednesday, April 30
- MAUMS Career Fair – A broad cross-section of professionals will be on hand to talk with MAUMS students about career options and the skills necessary for success. 8:00 -11:00 a.m., MAUMS Gym.
Thursday, May 15
- Spring Job Fair – Explore career opportunities at the Job Fair sponsored by the Vermont Department Of Labor. Outdoors at the Bennington Deer Park by the State Office Building from 11:00 a.m. -2:00 p.m.
